A few years ago we went to an unknown beach resort in Anilao in Mabini, Batangas. We just rented a table where we can place our things and eat our meals. It was offpeak season so there were no many other people. It was an overnight thing for our group and we just slept in cramped papag (bed made of wooden planks, ours is bamboo).

The beach has clear and calm waters, however corals cover the sand so it is uncomfortable if you are on barefoot. Anilao is indeed a perfect diving spot and the presence of the corals on the beach proves that the place is rich in marine resources. Despite the lack of fine amenities, our swimming experience in the place is still memorable.
